Who are your favorite artists?
Beloved Unknowns
My favorite artists are the unnamed,
The beloved unknowns—
Those who carved their souls into stone,
Only to let the dust reclaim them,
Before we ever had the chance to call them genius.
I love the ones who set fire
To their canvases in the dead of night,
The sculptors who shattered their marble,
As though the world wasn’t ready
For what they had to offer.
There’s beauty in the silence,
In the forgotten hands that crafted
Masterpieces, unseen—
A rebellion against praise,
A defiance against time.
Their creations dissolve into shadows,
Not meant for admiration,
But for those who understand
That brilliance doesn’t need applause,
Only the quiet satisfaction of knowing they existed
at all.
